My first attempt at a {period} text block on my own. My A&S busy work during a rainy yurt building day* with folks inside and out. The autoplay settings go too fast to allow for reading the captions, so please click at the bottom of the slideshow to display the buttons to go forward and back. 🙂
* We, along with 13 friends from 5 local groups, built 9 yurts in our driveway. My husband Fearghus was the mastermind behind that effort and we are pleased to note they are still loved and used and can be seen at Pennsic to this day.

Sewing in progress, surrounded by the supplies. Oh, and a cuppa... 🙂

A little fuzzy, but meant to show the yarn being used in place of more appropriate cord or leather thongs. Also, looked up and remembered to do the kettle stitch on the ends!
-
Another attempt at showing white on white stitching! I also have colored thread for practice; think I'll use that next time!

The paper press my husband made me, doing double duty as a book press. Using it to make the spine as flat as possible. Think I'm supposed to do this before sewing! Need to ask or look that up. 🙂

A bit more complete a picture of the book press.
