[22Sep17 From an album dated 6/18/11.]
Tucked away down some stairs behind a stationer’s shop are the shops that house the printing presses and bindery. It’s easy to miss them, but they are there! Lots of great knowledge to be had, and many original tools. It’s a great place to visit if you want to see them actually doing the work when you can ask questions.
Though there weren’t any women working the day I visited, women were allowed to be binders – since the medieval period actually. After all, it’s ‘just’ sewing.
