We took our family to Old Sturbridge Village on the way home from Thanksgiving with family this year. We enjoyed showing the kids our favorites! A good deal has changed since the last time I visited. The youngest enjoyed the pottery, the oldest the blacksmith and their grandmother the needlework. Everyone enjoyed the [colonial] period firearms demonstration!
I, of course, geeked out on the Print Shop. Of course it came with a binding station. “Women were allowed to work as bookbinders you know. After all it was just considered sewing!” Yeah man, I know. Women have been binders for centuries. But I digress… Even the eldest got to help print, playing the role a young boy would have in moving the pages about.
